On Friday morning, students arrived for their final test. After a half-hour of time for review, they spent the morning in written and oral tests. Afterwards, they received their test results and had a little "graduation" ceremony. Shen Laoshi said a few words and then invited each student to speak a couple sentences in Chinese. The students were then given a diploma for the completion of the Summer Study in China program and their own calligraphy, matted and made into a scroll.

Then, we had a celebratory pizza party where students socialized with each other and their Chinese teachers. It was the last time that some students would see each other in Beijing.

Then, the students had free time for the rest of the day! Saturday is free time for students to spend with their host families. The students who will fly back to New York with us will meet up on Sunday morning to take a bus to the airport.
